The JoMa project, founded by Johanna Markowitsch, expands the traditional range of her parents' winery with a distinct natural wine line characterized by its simplicity and fruitiness. The wines are approachable and light, ideal for lovers of pure, natural flavors and a perfect choice for newcomers to the world of natural wines. Guided by the motto "Because life is often complicated enough, it's necessary to indulge in simplicity from time to time," Johanna pursues a philosophy of minimalist and natural production.
JoMa wines are produced without additives or filtration, allowing nature to work unhindered. The grapes are often pressed with their skins and stems, and both the still and sparkling wines are bottled without added sulfites. This approach reflects Johanna's goal of creating wines that are fresh, vibrant, and characterized by a youthful, lighthearted spirit – "light, but fun," as she puts it.
Together with her father, Johanna works to perfect the art of winemaking and develop a unique style that authentically reflects the terroir of Carnuntum. Their collaboration combines traditional craftsmanship with modern approaches, contributing to the distinctive profile of wines from this region.
