With GLOW GLOW, the Baumberger family has created a fascinating wine project that combines modern ideas with a deeply rooted winemaking tradition. Now in its fifth and sixth generation, the family runs its winery in Mandel on the Nahe River – firmly established in regional viticulture since 1855. What once began as a mixed agricultural operation is today an organically managed winery with a clear focus: sustainable viticulture on 14.5 hectares of vineyards, in harmony with nature.
At its core is a philosophy of conscious restraint: the wines are produced with minimal intervention – without additives or fining. The result is authentic, vibrant natural wines that express the terroir of the Nahe region in its purest form.
GLOW GLOW is above all the passion project of Pauline and Carl Baumberger, who are leading the family winery into a new era with fresh ideas and great enthusiasm. Pauline brings creativity and a keen sense of aesthetics to the project – inspired by her time in The Hague, Berlin, and Paris. After studying communication design, she returned with the desire to give the wine her personal touch: uncomplicated, vibrant, and natural.
Her brother Carl, who has been involved in winemaking since childhood, contributes his sound training in viticulture and oenology from Geisenheim as well as valuable practical experience. His focus is on meticulous craftsmanship, respect for nature, and an honest approach to the product of wine.
Together, Pauline and Carl create wines that not only reflect the character of the region, but also convey a feeling of life: GLOW GLOW stands for lightness, authenticity and the joy of enjoyment – ​​uncompromisingly natural, full of energy and made with love.
