Collection: Pittnauer

For over 30 years, Gerhard and Brigitte Pittnauer have been running their winery in Gols on Lake Neusiedl (Burgenland), which they took over from Gerhard's parents. What began as a small farm is now a 25-hectare estate that sets standards for handcrafted, authentic wine.
The "Pittis," as they call themselves, began converting to biodynamic viticulture in 2006. Since then, all work has been done in harmony with nature: cover crops instead of herbicides, hand-harvesting instead of machines, patience instead of chemical accelerators. The same applies in the cellar.

Their collection is as distinctive as their graphic design: diverse, colorful, and creative. Orange experiments, sparkling Pitt-Nat, or serious single-vineyard Blaufränkisch – every bottle surprises, yet remains consistently precise, juicy, and incredibly drinkable. In 2007, together with other biodynamic winemakers, they founded the international group 'Respect' and have since been considered one of the most exciting voices in the Austrian natural wine scene.
The Pittnauers are increasingly focusing on regional grape varieties: Blaufränkisch, Grüner Veltliner, and St. Laurent. On the warm gravel and sandy soils surrounding the steppe lake, these grapes develop dark, spicy aromas that retain a vibrant freshness thanks to the cool nights by the water. In their cuvées, Gerhard and Brigitte enjoy experimenting with a blend of red and white grapes, which lends the wines lightness and inner tension.
Whether it's a crisp "Dogma", a fragrant rosé or an elegant "Perfect Day" – anyone who opens a Pittnauer bottle doesn't get a standardized product, but a liquid piece of Pannonian freedom, created by people who understand wine as an adventure.
