Collection: Bianka and Daniel Schmitt

Since 2012, Bianka and Daniel Schmitt have been running the winery with great dedication, now in its fourth generation. The winery is located in Flörsheim-Dalsheim in the Wonnegau region of southern Rheinhessen. Their vineyards extend across Flörsheim-Dalsheim and the neighboring villages of Monsheim and Kriegsheim. Their work is guided by a clear philosophy based on the principles of freedom, the path, and location.
For them, freedom means creating space for creative ideas and an individual style, while the path symbolizes the close connection between the various vineyards surrounding the estate. The principle of location highlights the special relationship to the individual plots, whose diverse soils and microclimates lend the wines their unique expressions. These principles allow the wines of Alexanderhof to radiate clarity, elegance, and a deep connection to nature.
Bianka, originally from Hungary, brings her heritage to the table with terroir-driven grape varieties like Blaufränkisch and Furmint, while Daniel cultivates classic German varieties such as Riesling and Pinot Noir. Each grape variety is optimally suited to its specific vineyard site, expressing the potential of the soils. Their wines are characterized by authenticity, precision, and elegance, and often bear the names of the vineyards where they are grown – a tribute to the distinctive landscape.
After more than ten years of biodynamic farming, Bianka and Daniel trust in the natural power of their vineyards. They are active members of "La Renaissance des Appellations" and "Demeter," which underscores their commitment to sustainable agriculture. Their minimalist vinification in the cellar allows the character of the grapes to shine through in their purest form, so that the wines mature authentically and offer a genuine experience for the connoisseur.
