Collection: Clot De Les Soleres

In the heart of the Catalan Penedès region, nestled between the Mediterranean Sea and the Montserrat Mountains, lies the Clot de les Soleres winery in the small village of Piera. At an altitude of around 300 meters, Carles and Montse Mora Ferrer cultivate an impressive variety of grape varieties on approximately 23 hectares – all in keeping with a commitment to sustainability and respect for nature.
The two pursue a clear ecological approach: they consciously avoid plowing, artificial fertilizers, and synthetic additives. Instead, they rely on natural cover crops with native plants to promote biodiversity. They also work with restraint in the cellar – spontaneous fermentation with wild yeasts, no filtering or fining, and no additives. Winemaking follows the rhythms of nature, sometimes even the lunar calendar, which further emphasizes the artisanal character of the wines.
Thanks to the varied topography, different microclimates develop on the estate: The higher, airy sites offer ideal conditions for white varieties such as Xarel·lo, Macabeu, Chardonnay, and Malvasia. In the lower-lying, more humid parcels, on the other hand, red grape varieties such as Garnacha Negra, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Sauvignon thrive.
The wines of Clot de les Soleres bear the unmistakable mark of their terroir – honest, pure, and full of personality. Each drop reflects not only the unique characteristics of the vineyard site but also the winemakers' commitment to vibrant, authentic viticulture. Clot de les Soleres thus exemplifies a new generation of Catalan winemakers who combine ancient traditions with a modern awareness of nature.
