Collection: Sfusobuono

Sfusobuono is a fresh wine project from Italy that gives an age-old tradition a contemporary twist. The idea was born during the first COVID-19 lockdown, when personal contact was scarce but the desire for genuine enjoyment was strong. Instead of thinking of wine only in elegant bottles, the principle of "vino sfuso"—traditionally the uncomplicated, everyday bulk wine in Italy—was reinterpreted. The founders developed a concept that is both practical and stylish, and above all, aims for one thing: really good wine, accessible, sustainable, and without fuss. What was previously only available directly from the winemaker now comes to your door in a modern format.
The heart of the project lies with the winemakers. sfusobuono collaborates with a handful of small, mostly family-run wineries from various regions of Italy – Tuscany, Piedmont, Umbria, Abruzzo, and Sardinia. These people know what they're doing because they live with the land and work in harmony with nature, not against it. Their wines are often produced using organic or biodynamic farming methods, without unnecessary frills or industrial intervention, but with deep respect for the soil, climate, and grape varieties. Each wine has its own story, shaped by the place where it originates – and you can taste it.
The wines themselves don't come in bottles, but in bag-in-box containers: three liters of pure drinking pleasure, packaged in a compact, lightweight, and highly practical format. This packaging makes the project not only suitable for everyday use but also ecologically sound. While glass bottles are heavy and energy-intensive to produce and transport, the bag-in-box is significantly more resource-efficient. It generates up to 80 percent less CO₂, can be efficiently recycled, and keeps the wine fresh for weeks after opening – entirely without artificial preservatives or additives.

Sfusobuono demonstrates that good wine doesn't have to be a status symbol. It's not about labels or prestige, but about honest taste, fair production, and a conscious decision for a more sustainable future of drinking. A little piece of Italy – with attitude and character, and with a system that respects the environment, producers, and consumers alike.
