For several years now, Melanie and Michael have been lovingly managing a traditional winery in Franconia, which has been in their family for generations. On the gentle hills around Kitzingen, approximately seven hectares of vineyards produce wines that not only reflect nature,
but also possess character. The two consistently rely on a holistic, nature-oriented approach, where work is done in harmony with the soil, plants, and wildlife.
They bottled their first vintage back in 2013 – a milestone on their journey to creating an authentic, vibrant wine. Their goal: to give the wine the stage to express itself freely, allowing the soil, climate, and grape variety to shine through. Completely without additives or intervention – but with plenty of patience, openness, and respect for what each vintage brings.

Compost, herbal teas, and diverse cover crops help strengthen the vines and revitalize the soil. The vines reward this with healthy grapes, which are then used in the cellar to produce wines that mature for at least a year – mostly in wooden barrels, sometimes small, sometimes large. Barrique, cask, or double cask: each batch gets what it needs to develop its own unique character.
With creative labels and names like "Wine Lovers" or "Father & Son," the bottles tell stories – of nature observations, regional wildlife, and life among the vines. Since 2023, the range has featured a new, colorful design that is both playful and expressive.
